The New Ryder Side Car
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 sugar cube (1tsp sugar)
1 wedge blood orange
1 brandied Amarena cherry 
2oz Hennessy VSOP
0.25oz Grand Marnier Liqueur Cuvee Du Cinquantenaire
In a heavy, chilled old fashioned/rocks/tumbler glass combine the bitters and sugar cube, add a thick wedge of blood-orange and a brandied Amarena cherry, then muddle. Work the fruit and sugar into a thick paste without bruising the orange peel (thereby releasing bitterness). Muddle the flesh. Add the cognac. Stir. Fill the glass with crushed or shaved ice, gild with Grand Marnier (float on top) and serve.
